For this magical experience, you’ll travel to the Waitomo Glowworm Caves and explore the unique grotto system. On arrival, you’ll have half an hour at the Waitomo Homestead to grab drink or bite to eat and visit the gift shop.
At the caves, you’ll enter into the dark depths and spend a full 45 minutes exploring, surrounded by the mesmerising, electric-blue lights of New Zealand’s native Arachnocampa Luminosa glow-worms. As you explore, you’ll learn more about these amazing creatures and the formations they make with each other. After trekking through the caves on foot, you’ll board a flat-bottomed boat to glide along the silent Waitomo River.
